Wilbur is saved, but... what about the other animals?
Vegetarian Action's 'Charlotte's Web' campaign
'Charlotte's Web' is a classic children's story underlining the
value of compassion and the unique importance of every life.
To coincide with the release of the new movie version of 'Charlotte's
Web', Vegetarian Action ran a flyer campaign aimed at extending
the compassion and appreciation inspired by the film for these
beautiful animals (pigs) and other animals. The flyer appealed
to people to think about whether they are really happy to eat
"Wilburs" and other "friends"!

Flyers were distributed outside cinemas in the
Adelaide metropolitan area after screenings of the movie, and
were also handed out near the 'Pigs' (bronze sculptures) in Rundle
Mall, with the help of Vegetarian Action supporters. Flyers were
also distributed in letterboxes and on car windscreens.
As always, the flyer was also available on the
web for wider downloading and distribution and were circulated
by interstate vegetarian organisations.
Thanks to Vegetarian Action supporters Sally,
Rod, Jane and Wendy for helping to make the campaign a success.
