According to the Food & Agriculture Organisation of the
United Nations, livestock contribute more to global warming
than transport, producing 18% of all global greenhouse gas emissions.
To mark World Environment Day, 5 June 2007, Vegetarian Action
is focussing on an issue of critical relevance and public concern,
with a campaign entitled 'The Great Green Quiz', which aims
to raise public awareness about the contribution of the world's
livestock - primarily bred specifically for food - to global
warming.

Be part of the action!
Vegetarian Action supporters are invited to
take part in the 'Great Green Quiz' campaign by helping us to
distribute flyers face-to-face in prominent public locations.
In addition, Vegetarian Action will provide flyers to supporters
wishing to distribute them independently.
If you're not a Vegetarian Action supporter,
you're welcome to print the flyer (see link below) and freely
copy and distribute them. Direct methods of reaching people,
such as letterboxing or handing out face to face, are probably
most effective. To help us track our campaign activities, please
drop us a line to
let us know how many you've distributed and where.

for distribution, and Supporters are invited to come along
to hand out flyers with us and to participate in our activities
