vego-friendly health practitioners
in Adelaide & South Australia

Vegetarian-friendly health care can sometimes be hard to come by. Yet it's important that vegetarians are able to locate practitioners with whom they feel comfortable to access health care and health information important to their wellbeing. That's the purpose of Vegetarian Action's vego-friendly health practitioners list.

About the listing

GPs

Naturopaths & homeopaths

Dietitians & Nutritionists

Other

Vego-friendly health practitioners aren't necessarily vegetarians themselves. Vegetarian Action defines vego-friendly health practitioners as those who:

  • are aware of vegetarianism as a healthy lifestyle choice
  • respect clients' dietary and lifestyle choices
  • are able and willing to advise on animal-free prescriptions and/or treatments

Please note: the practictioners listed do not necessarily have specialised knowledge of vegetarianism or vegetarian diets, unless specifically indicated.

Rather, the purpose of the list is to help vegetarians identify practitioners from whom they can obtain health care respectful of their choices, without experiencing negative attitudes or pressure.

If you're a vego-friendly health practitioner or know of one, please let us know so we can add you to the list!

We'd especially love to hear from or about practitioners of Western medicine such as GPs.

This list is provided as a community service. There is no cost for listing. Practitioners are self-assessed based on the above criteria and listing in no way represents an endorsement or recommendation of any practitioner by Vegetarian Action. Should you have feedback about any of the practitioners listed, please contact Vegetarian Action and confidentially share it with us.
