But I need to eat meat to stay healthy... don't I?

Many vegetarians are pretty healthy people. Vegetarians suffer lower rates of diseases like diabetes, cancer, and heart disease, and - contrary to myth - don't suffer more deficiencies than the rest of the population.

A well-balanced vegetarian diet contains everything you need (nutritionally) to stay fit, healthy and strong.

In fact, it can be argued that as a society we can't afford to keep eating a diet based on meat and other animal products.
